Go Get 'Em Tiger
It sounds like Mellowdrone frontman Jonathan Bates has been listening to a lot of ELO lately. The first three tracks on Go Get 'Em Tiger would be right at home on just about any of the early 80's ELO albums. The vocals, the music, even the rhythms, all sound like Jeff Lynne has his hands in the production in some manner. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. In this case, it's more of an influence, as opposed to simply being derivative. While this latest effort isn't quite as musically varied or 'edgy' as the previous one, it still shows a lot of potential.
